Event: Ahmedabad Camp.
Date: 21st July, 2015.
Venue: Nathdwara.
Participants: 20.

In the most auspicious month of Purushottama, also known as Purushottama Adhik Masa, a camp for the rejuvenation of devotees of IYF-Ahmedabad was planned. This camp was scheduled on the 27-28th June and 20 devotees from the ISKCON YOUTH FORUM Ahmedabad took part in it enthusiastically.

After a very beautiful small ride, devotees took their first hault and took darshan of the deities of Lord Krsna which were installed by Lord Brahma several years ago.

Then the devotees attended a session named: “Art & Importance of Chanting,” This session was delivered by Mridul, a devotee from IIT Delhi BACE.

Then snacks prasadam was also distributed to all the devotees and then everybody left for Nath - Dvara.

After reaching the guest house, devotees took some rest and later on attended an enlightening session on  “Teachings from the pastimes of Srila Madhavendra Puri.” The lecture was given by HG Sarvamangal Gaur Prabhuji and in this lecture prabhuji mainly stressed on the humility and the surrender of a devotee towards Krsna.

In Nath Dvara, the dieties of Srinath Ji are the same dieties which were installed at Srila Madhavendra Puri in Goverdhan, but due to the attack of the Mughal Empire, the deities had to be shifted to Rajasthan.

Then in the evening devotees went for Hari Nam. All the devotees were chanting and dancing to the names of lord. HG Sarvamangal Gaur Prabhu led the kirtan and everyone was enthralled with the the holy name that even the nearby local inhabitants also took part in the dancing.

Then on the next day, all the devotees went to take Morning Darshan of Sri Nath ji at the main temple.
After taking Darshan devotees left for their next destination which was Ganesh Tekri.

Ganesh Tekri is a very silent and cool place, away from the hush-rush of the city and in a very silent atmosphere.HG Ashraya Krishna prabhuji took a session there named “Teachings from the pastimes of Gajendra.” In this lecture prabhuji discussed the compassion of the Lord, the love of a devotee for the lord and how the Dormant Krishna Consciousness awakens in our heart only by mercy of Krsna.

Then after the Lecture everyone refreshed themselves by taking a fresh bath at a Pond of fresh water, situated behind the Temple. Everyone enjoyed a lot and experienced the Bliss of Krsna Consciousness. Then everybody returned to guest house and took rest.

After resting the devotees packed their bags and luggage and left for Ahemdabad.
On the way back,  the devotees stopped on a Highway and treked onto a Hill. There on the hill, HG Sarvamangal gaur prabhuji and HG Ashraya Krsna Prabhuji led an ecstatic and roaring Kirtan where everyone was enthralled by the purity of the Holy Name and everyone was realizing the power of the Holy name.

After the Kirtan, devotees shared their realizations, and also took Sankalpa of Reading, Hearing and Chanting.

Best Definition of God according to Vedas

Source In the Vedas, it is said, parasya saktir vividhaiva sruyate : “The varieties of energy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead are differently known." So let’s look at some of those varieties. First off, God is the personal aspect of The Absolute Truth which encompasses the Supreme controller, the living entities, the spiritual and material universes, time and activity. He is the original cause of all causes, an undifferentiated entity as there is no distinction between potency and the possessor thereof. He is the absolute substantive principle being the ultimate entity in the form of the support of all existence both natural and supernatural.

The Essence of the Srimad Bhagavatam

Source The essence of Srimad Bhagavatam is the essence of everything. It is the essence of all the Vedas, all philosophy, all knowledge, all theology, all religion, and all activity. This is not hyperbole it can be demonstrated. Let us accept that the Vedas contain all the relevant knowledge for mankind. But it is not well-known how little of the Vedas remain today.

How can we render service to Lord Krishna? With example.

Source The only service Krishna is interested in is service that is done with love and devotion. He is not in need of anything, but being a perfect ‘gentleman’ He appreciates anything done for Him with love. So step one is to develop our relationship with Krishna. Everything is based on this point of relationship.

Is Lord Krishna the answer to all questions?

Source Krishna is the Absolute Truth, The First Cause, The origin and maintainer of all that is manifest. As a result, all questions end with Krishna. Obviously there are many questions to which the answer is not directly ‘Lord Krishna’ but every line of questioning, if pursued to its end, will terminate with Lord Krishna simply because He is the Absolute Truth. Sometimes people are confused over how a person can be ‘The Truth’. They think ‘truth’ is an evaluation of a statement. “Are you telling the truth?” But, ‘The Truth’ means more than this, it means what is real as opposed to illusory, what is factual as opposed to false, what is substantial as opposed to imaginary. The Absolute Truth is real/factual/substantial at all times, in all places, under all circumstances. Any things that are temporary or imaginary are dependent on the Absolute Truth, because that is what is always real or true. Without something being absolutely real nothing can exist, so Krishna is that so...

Who is Shri Krishna? His Personality, Colour, the Absolute

What is Bhakti Yoga?

Source: Krsna app Bhakti yoga is obviously a yoga process, so just a few words on what a yoga process is. Between us and the absolute truth is the material manifestation. It’s born of the modes of nature and contains the dualities of material life based on attachment and aversion with which we identify at every second. More importantly, it obscures the supreme reality from us. A yoga process is a way to neutralize the effects of the material manifestation so that we are connected or joined with the absolute truth again. The absolute truth, as it turns out, is full of ananda - bliss, and when we are connected or joined with it and the effects of the material manifestation are neutralized, we can share in that bliss, and give up the less interesting happiness and distress of material life. All the yoga processes contain a well-delineated series of actions that can be done with the mind and body, and rely on the individual’s proficiency in applying their process. Except for Bhak...
